House cats don't need getting their claws cut. I grew up with a black silky, green eyed beauty, he lived up to 18 years and I only got scratches on my arms in his first 1-3 years occasionally... They can't hurt you seriously anyway.

House cats don't need their nails cut. I grew up with one, we were 18 years together and only at the age of him being 1-3 years did I get scratches while playing. He learned to control his claws in the proces. Cats learn, they don't want to hurt us. To prevent the scratching of furniture put up scratching posts...
