well they have larger brian’s when compared to small breeds of dog, it’s a given that they’ll have a higher capacity to learn dogs just seem smart due to thousands of years of domesticating wolves

Pebbles The Cat that cat had many programs running at the same time. A lot of instinct in that puma brain that can make him multi task while still being able to follow orders. Hyper aware cat!

And you can tell he is. I love the way his face lights up when Messi greets him upon his homecoming. My husband always says that if anything happens to Sasha, Messi would stop eating and die. I’m not so sure, but no question he would be so lost.

@idefix Ah, right. :) Yeah, I wouldn't do anything that can be preceived as aggressive towards Alexandr or Mariya if Messi is around. I wouldn't want to try him. I've seen when he's scratching on trees. The bark just goes flying, even if it's very hard and thick.

This puma is impressive but honestly, his handler is even more impressive. The level of care and dedication this man gives to Messi is something that you don't see often.

In most states in the US, he would not even be allowed to keep Messi, i dont think he should have messi around bite class. Why teach him something he doesnt have ? I wish everyday my Border Collie had not seen a bite class, but now shes my burglar dog.

I think maybe it's not the first time they meet him.

I have an 11 pound Abyssinian cat (we call her domesticated, although she hardly acts that way most of the time 😂)... anyway, our egocentric and silly little house cat is much less well behaved than Messi. You and Messi are blessed to live together, he is a gorgeous and sweet boy and your posts always enlighten my day. I am so sorry that I don’t even speak the word of Russian, so that I could express my gratitude in your mother tongue. I will say simply that you have TRUE admirers from South Florida and we are SO happy for you. Messi is obedient in a way I have never seen in a feline of any size. So thank you again! This is so special! 🙏😻✌️

I'd say this was the most popular dog training class of the year ... Messi is a one in a million. I've NEVER seen a cat so smart. Messi is thinking, " Really ? This is an "obstacle course" ? Oh please..." So funny. At the end everyone wanted to pet Messi and the other dogs ? Wait, there were other dogs ? :)

that's referred to as "the orienting reflex" & it's innately stronger in felines than canines. what's really fascinating here is the restraint on the part of both "messi" & the dogs-no beef, no drama, no problems. but anyone who's been to the old circuses knows that the big cats are trainable if you've had them from birth. nothing special in that per se. watch "tiger king" or footage of siegfried & roy with their cats. absolutely nothing 'special' here in that regard. 'special', would be a corgi attack dog...😳😂

@@user-kd4hg3rk3q рассудим по вашей логике: головотяпство тащить в кучу детей собак, которые научены нападать, которые так спокойно прыгают на людей(понятно, что они в наморднике, но это не отменяет того). Значит детей рядом с такими псинами так же быть не должно, но вы тут рассуждаете только про кошку. Я не отменяю того, что данная кошка страшнее собаки, но собаки научены нападать, а кошку воспитывали иначе. Поэтому все это от лукавого. Либо вообще детей туда не пускать, либо говорить сразу и про собак и про кошек. При этом замечу, что уровень дрессировки Мэсси по сравнению с некоторыми собаками из видео на голову выше! Только не нужно про то что кошка дикая, собаки домашние. Это утверждение к данной ситуации не имеет никакого отношения.

True, you always have to be mindful that this is still a wild animal no matter how much training you give them their instincts are totally different. He has a lot of power that he could use.

So cute how when all the kids were petting Messi, he got shy and turned to Daddy for a nudge 🥰 Sasha looked so proud of him in that moment. I love this beautiful creature and am grateful to his parents for taking such excellent care of him 🙌🏼👋🏼👏🏼👊🏼💜🇨🇦

@wayouttatune2 you talking to me? Um, ya, cougars are dangerous. And any wildlife expert will tell you that is it not possible to actually domesticate a wild animal over a single generation. And anybody with even a house cat can tell you that even the nicest ones can do damage if they are sick or scared. Now, take that damage and magnify it to that of a cougar. People are attacked by wild cougars in the US (about once per year. A quarter of those attacks are fatal.. And they definitely kill a lot of livestock. Hopefully you were referring to another post, because my post was accurate. Messi is an exception to what a normal cougar is.

Impressive! 👏🏻 Was wondering how he knew a Puma would be trainable. It’s just really amazing & fascinating. Just wondering why he didn’t get a dog. Or wanted to prove Pumas can be just as smart. He’s such an affectionate & smart Puma. His love for cats is undeniable. I’ve never seen anything like it. 😍

Ok. Admittedly, I'm kind of prejudiced in Messi's favor BUT, he was the best student there!

I feel so BAAAAD for the poor dog being trained next to Messi. He says “you know I’m trying to concentrate but there’s a #%* Puma behind me, and you want me to lay down?” :) For any cat, walking up a ramp and across a beam is like “are u kidding me? Before I was born...” Messi is heartbreakingly special. I lost 2 long-term kitty friends years ago. When the woman bends over and Messi jumps on her back, how many of us have walked around hunched and “wearing” a kitty because they took the same opportunity :) Messi’s MOM FRIEND is also awesome people and always there with camera.

I do this often, not walking around but sitting playing games on my phone hunched "just right" because my void boi likes to sit with his paws on my shoulders and his butt on my head lol plus if I love he attacks my back 🤣🤣🤣

@@ilonkagarcia1806 It's not puffed up, he's relaxed but attentive, you could tell if he was feeling threatened by his back hair first then his tail and he showed no signs of being worried. He was in a petting zoo before sasha got him so he's very used to humans and other animals. Remember Messi weighs probably 75 lbs and his tail has to be heavy enough to help control the direction while running. So yeah he has a big tail and like a doberman or a dane with a long tail it's pretty substantial.
