Gerda is all playing, purring and rolling in the grass. In stark contrast, Messi is kind of a dick.

it is interesting watching them learning one another’s boundaries. when gerda feels cornered or is on her back, she will defend. most of the time she seemed very amused by messi’s hunting game.

So amazing-the several times that he’s almost face to face with her, and he lies down-deliberately making her even taller! It’s a crouch, not a relaxed belly-exposed pose, but still, he’s deliberately accentuating the height difference.

I think Messi still has memory of where he was and how sick and frightened he was as a cub, when the Demitrievs found him. How they worked to obtain him and nurse him back to health.

They're in a neutral environment. But even in the wild, people dont realize that cougars are actually shy animals. if cougars lived in Africa, they would be just as shy and timid as cheetahs are.

I think it's better to keep them apart. Messi is always tensed and scared of Gerda though he has learnt to confront her. Messi may chase her and startle her for fun but for Gerda it's not fun. She used her paws again today.

Потому что они во-первых, в природе активны в разное время суток, а во-вторых, у них разный принцип охоты, а значит - разные игры. И в-третьих, разный принцип жизни, гепардам очень нужно активно общение и «друг», когда как пумы больше одиночки)

@@BeatsNKarats yeah, he looks pretty chunky but he’s really small in comparison to a healthy one due to Messi being severely malnourished as a cub. They’re usually about as tall as a cheetah on all fours. Cheetahs on average are 79-100 pounds and male cougars are 180-250 pounds and get 9 feet long from nose to tail, (in rare cases even bigger.) I’ve seen massive male cougars that look as big as an average lioness, I’m not joking, they get really big.
