I love to see Messi smile.

That really brought out Messi's chase instinct. I keep forgetting how quick big cats like Messi are despite their size, up to speed almost instantly.

I know-he doesn’t have the athleticism of a healthy wild mountain lion, of course, but he is amazingly strong and agile. I love the occasional slow-motion videos that show his muscles rippling under his tawny hide. I love the sight of fearsome fangs and claws, carefully not used on the people he loves. And I enjoy the flashes of wild instinct-in the wild, his mother would have spent the best part of two years teaching him to hunt. (And he’d have learned what appropriate prey was-probably deer.). He lost out on that, but-well, here’s something that impresses me. If you look at the older video of him ‘hunting’ a person on an ATV, he ‘leads’ his prey-running to the place where it will be, not to the place where it is when he starts the chase.

There's an earlier video of him playing with balloons on his 4th birthday. Same bright eyed look and agility. Seems he loves to catch airborne things. And yes, he's fast.

It’s great you give him lots of enrichment. I love how he pounces. He is so proud of himself when he catches the kite. Such a sweet boy.

Kite flying is an exciting enrichment activity for Messi. His attention is so focused on that kite that not even Gerda's proximity spooks him.

Messi's a smart mountain lion. He knows it's just a game, so there's no need to chew up the kite.

Okay, what have we learned? Messi is afraid of snakes, (in the form of yoga mats, garden hoses, etc.) But, he’s enthusiastically NOT afraid of giant birds twice his size. 😄

мы придумали себя развлечь, когда увидели на обочине дороги огромное количество ярких воздушных змеев на продажу! У нас в детстве ни у одного не было такой игрушки, поэтому это восполнение детских пробелов))) не думали, что Месси будет в восторге, скорее наоборот думали, что напугается
